Hi, I’m Em.

Founder of The Barn KT9 and personal trainer based in Epsom, Surrey. I specialise in working with brides-to-be, mums-to-be and new mums to help you through that turning point where being fit and healthy becomes a priority.

Whether you’re getting married, going through pregnancy, running around after kids or coming up to a big change, my aim is to help you through that turning point and lead a healthy life.

Through my coaching, I empower women to understand health is a lifestyle and a feeling, not a way of looking. Leaving you oozing confidence, feeling uplifted and stronger than ever.

About Me

This is where you probably expect me to write how I was incredibly sporty as a child and that inspired me to continue.

In fact it’s quite the opposite.

My story initially began with me not being the sporty one at school. I would walk cross country (if I couldn’t get out of it) and shied away from the sports field.

Just before uni, I realised exercise didn’t have to be the team sports I was useless at but just taking things at my own pace in the pool, gym or running along the roads. From here I had a relationship with exercise that meandered between healthy to unhealthy.

I’m not going to lie, a few years ago, when I got engaged, I suddenly freaked out and saw bridal diets everywhere and felt an immense pressure to fit into the stereotype.

However, a month before the wedding, I had my “fuck it moment”.

I was tired of trying to get to this fairytale vision of who I thought I should be. I decided it was time to just enjoy the final lead up to the wedding and focus on being me as after all, that was who Charlie (my husband) was marrying and who everyone was turning up to see.
